Technical Tour

VitiNord 2025 is excited to host a Vineyard & Winery Innovation Tour for participants to attend on Saturday, December 6th. 

 

Agenda

Departure at 8:00 am

1. In the morning, depart from the Park Plaza Hotel for the Geltoni Botai Vineyard. 

The journey takes about 30 minutes. (A)

2. Geltoni Botai Vineyard (Bičių g. 12, 14207 Leičiai, Lithuania). 

The friendly and interesting owners of Geltoni Botai will explain the history of the vineyard, the joys and difficulties of the experience. (B)

Vitis-import will demonstrate frost protection to protect the vines from winter and spring frosts.

 
 

We will enjoy hot broth and kibbins. An ancient snack that has become traditional in Lithuania, it comes from the Karaims, from the 14th century… We will have a lot of fun chatting and enjoying the wine created by the hosts.

3. Next, we will travel to the Padvaiskas distillery (5254 3, 14292 Glitiškės, Lithuania). The journey takes about 40 minutes. (C)

On arrival we will split into two groups. While some of us will taste the products created in the distillery, the other part will walk among the production rooms, listening to stories about the founding of the company and the distillates created.

The groups will then swap.

Padavaiskas Distillery is situated in a beautiful location, so the host will invite you to enjoy the estate and the countryside.

 

4. The trip will end with fun conversations and sharing of impressions on the way back to Vilnius at the Park Plaza Hotel. Return to Vilnius will take about 40 minutes. (D)

 

If we are not too late, we will take a short 30-40 minutes sightseeing tour through the window of the bus, right through the most famous places of Vilnius.

 

We will be back to Park Plaza Hotel around 5:00 pm.
